Using the TinyStic with your Blackberry device is easy. TinyStic allows you to view everything from your mobile device on your HDTV screen. You can display pictures, use apps, play games, watch videos/movies and browse the internet on your TV directly from your smart device (smartphone or tablet.)
Follow the instructions below to pair your Blackberry device with the TinyStic.
Minimum System Requirements
- TV with HDMI port and USB power available (5 V 500 mA)
- Blackberry Device running 10.2.1 or higher.
Setting up the TinyStic
Turn your TV ON.
Connect the TinyStic to your TV's USB port using the USB power cable that came with the device. Be sure to secure the cables all the way in.
Connect the video adapter directly to an HDMI port on the TV. You will see a blue light on the TinyStic when plugged all the way in.
NOTE: Take note of the port number you connected to. It is recommended to use HDMI 1 for optimal performance.
Find your TV’s INPUT button (on your TV or using the remote). Set your TV's INPUT selector to the HDMI port # you connected to. For example select HDMI 1 is that is the port # you connected TinyStic to.
Your TinyStic will now start up and display “Miracast” on your TV screen (upper left). If you don’t see “Miracast” on the upper left side of the screen, then quickly press and release the button on the side of the TinyStic.
Connecting your Blackberry device
To pair your Blackberry device with the TinyStic, follow the instructions below.
On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
Tap The Settings icon Settings > Networks and Connections > Wi-Fi.
If the Wi-Fi switch is off, turn on the switch.
Tap Miracast > Share Screen.
Tap the device that you want to display your screen on.
If you were not able to successfully pair your Blackberry device with the TinyStic, you can also perform the following:
- Try disabling unnecessary background applications on your device. Click Settings/General/Apps/Running. Click on unnecessary applications and click Stop. Warning: Some features of your device may stop working correctly until you power off and then on again.
- Try installing an app which will kill processes such as "Task Manager"
